I posted this tweet (what are we calling them now? Xeets?) on my Facebook page yesterday.

I included this as my headline:

“Elon just called every federal employee, and everyone who benefits from a federal program, a parasite.“

I received a reply from someone who said that I’m misinterpreting his message. This person said:

“No … He is talking about those who knowing routed federal tax dollars to their own coffers. Seems we would want them exposed and stopped. Yes?”

I’d like to apply some simple logic to show that he is saying that, lest anyone else be confused. Let me illustrate his argument:

Elon is saying a person is either affected or is not affected by the slashing of federal programs. That’s an either/or. There’s not a third option. Think of them as groups A and B.

Group A	Group B
Not affected by the slashing of federal programs.	Affected by the slashing of federal programs.
Because they’re not a member of the Parasite Class.	Because they are a member of the Parasite Class.
Is happy.	Is not happy.

So, who does Elon believe is a member of the Parasite Class?

Well, using his own logic, who is affected by the slashing? Here’s a small list, and feel free to click the links to see the “receipts.”

• The thousands of probationary federal employees who were fired over the last 24 hours.
• The Federal Employees who are worried that we will be RIFed next.
• The people who needed to access the Medicaid portal, but were locked out for two days.
• The people who worked overseas for USAID who are now scrambling to return to the US in 30 days because their agency has been shuttered and absorbed into DoS.
• The people who depend on life saving medical research that has been cut or frozen by the NIH funding limits.
• The Federal employees who are being forced to move because they took a remote job and are now being told they will be fired unless they start reporting to an office thousands of miles from where they live.
• The people who depend on the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau to protect them from predatory lending, and no longer have an avenue for that.
• The refugees who were in the United States having requested asylum, not violating the immigration laws, and are now being sent back to their countries.

These are just a few examples. There are a lot more people who are hurting right now. A huge number of people are suffering. In fact, by Elon’s own numbers, 10% of the population is, and that’s 33 Million people. I’d argue it’s even more who are being affected by the slashing of federal programs.

Elon not only doesn’t have sympathy, he posts this message with a laughing emoji. When I or others bring this type of information up, we get back messages like “OWN THE LIBZ!” and “LIBERAL TEARS MAKE ME HAPPY” or other intelligent arguments like that.

(Ironically, for those of you who know me, you know that I have never been a “liberal.” But this is not conservatism!)

For those of you who profess to be a Christian, I would ask you. What would Christ think of your comments? I’m not sure how that is an example of “loving thy neighbor as thyself.” You’re not showing me love by any definition. I’m not trying to introduce religion into this. You already did.

I am affected by all this.

I am scared for my future.

I am scared I will lose my job.

I am scared for this country.

I am scared because we are already seeing threats against the judicial branch for using its checks and balances on the Executive branch. Representatives have already being working towards the judge’s impeachment. Also, the judges are having their family members doxxed by Elon himself.

I am scared because we are already seeing that the Legislative branch has forgotten its Constitutional duty. It is also responsible for checks and balances on the Executive branch. But, the Speaker of the House of Representatives has abdicated the Power of the Purse. Meanwhile, a Senator argues that the “Advise and Consent” clause means don’t advise, don’t consent, just rubber stamp the president’s appointments.

I am scared because we are already seeing the pillar of Freedom of the Press is eroding. This administration is exacting retribution against the Associated Press. Why? The AP still calls the body of water off the southern US Coast the “Gulf of Mexico.” Listen to the Press Secretary’s explanation for this one:

“It is a fact that the body of water off the coast of Louisiana is called the Gulf of America, and I’m not sure why news outlets don’t want to call it that, but that is what it is.”

Seriously? She acts like people who call the Gulf what EVERYONE called it up until a few weeks ago are completely stupid for doing so. Further, she is incredulous that they did not fall in lock step with Trump, unlike his sheeple.

She went on further to say:

“It’s very important to this administration that we get that right not just for people at home but also for the rest of the world.”

So, President Trump, via the Secretary of the Interior and his hijacking of the Geographic Names Information System (GNIS)¹, should decide how everyone in the world refers to an international body of water?

What world are we living in now?

I am scared as I worry if this can all be undone? Are we already on a path we cannot reverse?
