I cannot believe what I just witnessed.

The President and Vice President of the United States just sat and lectured the President of Ukraine. There was a screaming match in the Oval Office.

Zelenskyy has been fighting a full on invasion by Russia for the past three years. And whether Trump believes it or not, it was an unprovoked invasion.

Zelenskyy has done his best to hold the line against unbelievable odds.

Zelenskyy comes to us. America has always been the “Shining City on a Hill” and a beacon for those seeking liberty and freedom. He asks us for help. In return, he is shouted down by the person who used to be called the “Leader of the Free World.”

I can not believe this is our reality. These are the people in power. These are the people making the decisions for our national security and to protect the entire world from ruthless dictators like Putin.

If we don’t support Zelenskyy and Ukraine, what happens when Putin decides that Poland needs to also be a buffer? Or Estonia? Latvia? Lithuania? Maybe just the northeast quarter of Germany?

Will we let them all fall to this former KGB operative who seeks to rebuild the Russian Empire? Will we not stand in the way? Will we not stand for democracy? Not stand for liberty? Not stand for freedom?

Not only did the administration attack Zelenskyy… the press did too.

This administration will not allow the AP in the Oval Office. Their excuse is access to the President by the press is “a privilege granted to journalists, not a legal right.” But someone let this jackass in…

So, not wearing a suit in the Oval Office is disrespectful? How interesting.

What about wearing a T-shirt and baseball cap to the Oval Office? What about picking your nose and wiping your boogers on the Resolute desk? No, that’s not disrespectful.

What about ending funding for malaria treatments and HIV treatments around the world? No, that’s not disrespectful.

What about telling former USAID employees they have 15 minutes, under guard, to collect their personal belongings from their office? No, that’s not disrespectful.

What about passing off the death of a child from an easily preventable disease as “not unusual”? No, that’s not disrespectful.

What about making extreme cuts to social security, a plan that the American people paid into? No, that’s not disrespectful.

Please, let’s worry about what clothes Zelenskyy wore. That seems sensible.

Zelenskyy left without signing the agreement for giving up their rare earth minerals to Trump in return for some vague security promises. Good…. because that’s extortion anyway (Also, evidently, no, that’s not disrespectful).

I have no idea how this can get much worse… I just know that it will. That makes me scared.

I pray that we find an honest and wise person to rule under the roof soon.
