So, it wasn’t enough to go after the head of the NSA, now Laura Loomer has decided that she wants the head of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency fired too.
It has nothing to do with anything that Director Whitworth has said or done. It’s that he was appointed by Biden, so he couldn’t be a good guy.
And while Laura Loomer is a crazy whackjob who holds no office and has not been appointed or elected to anything, she somehow had enough inside information and pull to find out about today’s planned meeting between Whitworth and Senator Mark Warner, ranking member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, and and get it canceled.
She impugns not only Whitworth, but also the hardworking nonpartisan workforce of NGA, saying they have “infested” the agency.
Whether they have political opinions that agree or disagree with Loomer and her ilk, they have a right to work. NGA has “Trump Haters,” just as sure as there were “Biden Haters,” and “Obama Haters,” and people who don’t give a damn one way or the other.
We don’t have loyalty tests for the non-appointed employees of our government (at least, we didn’t).
And to expect the Intelligence Community to be completely gutted after every administration change is frightening.
