Today a shooting occurred at a Dallas ICE facility.
Within hours, both Trump and Vance, as well as the other members of the administration were talking about what a threat the one-sided left wing violence is.
DHS even put out a tweet…. of course if you only pay attention to Twitter and FOX, you wouldn’t know at least 1 detainee was killed and 2 more were injured.
Those numbers fluctuated over the day… at one point they said there were two detainees killed. They can’t even get that straight, but Trump already knows the motive.
And of course, it’s violence against him, even though the people injured were not ICE officers.. the officers came out without a scratch.
Remind me which side was cheering the idea of alligators eating detainees? Or even worse, every Hispanic person in the United States.
Yeah, that’s not violent at all. Nor was it when a Trump supporter wanted to run me over during a peaceful protest.
It all makes you realize why some people started talking about how it seems like only certain Lives Matter in this country, and these people felt they had to make it clear that their Lives Matter too.
It was only a few months ago that the speaker of the House of Minnesota was shot and killed, along with her husband, while a state senator and his wife were shot but survived.
I guess if he pretends like it didn’t happen, his base will ignore it too.
We can’t forget the mob that Trump instigated and sent to the Capitol on January 6th. A mob that erected a gallows on the Capitol lawn to “Hang Mike Pence” and resulted in the deaths of several officers.
But, Trump continues to lie that political violence is only one-sided, and he’s the victim.
Look, political violence is never the correct answer, but don’t act like it’s a one sided affair.
By the end of the day today, Trump and Vance both have come out with statements about how this shooting was definitely a left-wing attack on ICE. It may have been, it may not have been. We don’t know. (For the record, neither one is okay).
But what bothers me is the fact that they don’t care about political violence unless it helps them.
I mean, Trump was so broken up over Charlie Kirk’s death….
It’s all a performance. It’s all about fomenting hate and gaining more power. The man doesn’t care about anybody but himself.
At the funeral of his “good friend,” he spent more time acting like it was a political rally than memorial service. He teased a press conference on Autism at one point.
He also told everyone that he hates his enemies and doesn’t want the best for them. Great topic for a eulogy, and isn’t he such a Christian?
