I just want to look at two posts Trump made in the past day or so.

I. SNAP Benefits

Let me first look at the lies in his “Truth” post…

Trump claims SNAP Benefits increased “many fold” during the Biden Administration.

Last time I checked, “many fold” means that it’s more than doubled, right? Like two fold would be doubled, so many fold is more than doubled, but should at the very least be an increase.

OK, let’s go to the chart… this is from the USDA:

If you view the page, you’ll see very clearly who’s side the USDA is on here, so no claiming these numbers are biased for the Democrats.

Yes, there has been an increase in spending the last few years, due to the COVID state of emergency (which began in who’s term? Remember: 2020 was before January 6, 2021, when a mob violently attacked the US Capitol to try to stop the Electoral College’s votes for Joe Biden from being counted… that’s right TRUMP was president!).

Now, read the chart’s own header. After the COVID state of emergencies expired in 2023, “spending fell more from Fiscal Year 2023 to 2024 than any year on record.”

(Pardon me… side note again… Who was president in 2024? BIDEN was president!)

Also note that 2019 was under reported of two month’s data due to a government shutdown (sigh…)

So, by my eyes, when Biden came into office 3 months into FY 2021, SNAP spending was around $130 Billion. At the end of the Biden Administration, in 2024, SNAP spending was $100 Billion.

To go from $130 Billion to $100 Billion is a 23% DECREASE.

But he said it was an increase of “MANY FOLD!”, so we were looking for more than a 100% INCREASE.

I think I figured out why Trump’s casinos went bankrupt so many times! Anyone who thinks they’re more than doubling their money when they actually lost almost a quarter of it….

But, beyond the idiot’s words, look at what he’s actually saying he’s going to do.

Unless people vote for the way he wants, he’s going to not give people SNAP benefits that their tax dollars pay for. Even after two courts ruled the administration must use the funds that Congress already set aside to cover during a shutdown.

He holds the people’s money hostage unless they do his bidding.

II. Mamdani for Mayor

Now, let’s look at this “Truth” involving the election in New York City:

Once again, I’ll start with how dumb the man is first…

Mamdani is not a Communist. He is a Democratic Socialist.

There is a huge difference. Here’s a table that you can use to contrast them:

I am not surprised that Trump can’t wrap his head around the difference between these…

But then again, items on the Communist side like “Authoritarian state ignores liberty,” “trade unions not allowed,” decisions coming from top,” and “state control of industry” sound more like his administration than Mamdami’s proposals.

Now, let’s go once again beyond his lies to what the impact he’s causing. He vows that, if the people don’t vote the way he wants, he will slash the amount of federal funds sent back to New York City (which by the way, don’t come out of thin air, but are the result of tax dollars sent to Washington from, among other places, NYC).

So: Vote as I say or suffer the consequences.

Again, sounds like Trump is the Commie to me.

Trump wants to be a king and rule by fiat, where whatever he says goes.

If he wants Cuomo to be the mayor of NYC, then by God, the mayor will be Cuomo, or people are gonna suffer! If he doesn’t want people to get SNAP benefits, they won’t get SNAP benefits! Unfortunately, people are going to die because of that.
